Have you ever wondered how the Jeep Wrangler becomes a doorless wonder of the summer? As a kid I thought that Jeeps came without doors. I couldn’t understand why people would buy a car without doors to drive on the street with.
I thought the passengers in the Jeep were going to fallout. But it sure looked cool to me and now I realize that they actually come with doors. So to the question at hand as we get over this bitter winter and welcome spring with open arms: How do you take the doors off your Jeep Wrangler?
You will need a good set of torque sockets. They can be used to remove virtually anything from your Jeep.
Roll down the windows on the Jeep doors and fold in the side mirrors.
Loosen the the nuts located on the bottom of the 2 hinges on each door using your torque sockets.
Open the doors and remove the straps that connect the doors to the Jeep located underneath the dash where the door connects to the Jeep.
Then you will disconnect the power switch for the power windows and door locks located underneath the dash where the door connects to the Jeep as well.
Next you put one hand under the door and the other on the top of the and lift the straight up.
And Voila. The door to your Jeep is now gone.
